I have long had a love of woodworking and have grown up with some true masters of the art. My pieces are inspired by the craftsmanship of two men, my late father-in-law Gerry Labbe, and my grandfather, Jim Compton. Each piece has a penny of the current year embedded in it. This is to date the work and to honor my late father-in-law who started the practice in 1935. He was a master woodworker and I can only hope to be one tenth as good as he was. Much of my work is also inspired by my grandfather, a master cabinet maker, who instilled in me the love of wood.
